Diary Entry

Dear Diary,

My first adventure is going okay so far, we had no food, no shelter, and Gandalf was missing. The dwarves and I saw a red light, they sent me to check out what was that light. I must say that trying to be something I'm not is definitely not my style. I see three trolls, I tried to steal something from one of their bags, didn't work so well. I thought I was about to die, the others came and all of them got trapped, if it wasn't for Gandalf we would've all been eaten.                                                                                                                                                                                                                        

Adventure

An adventure is when someone goes out and walk around finding out new places, where it can be dangerous and can harm a person. It's something that happens depending on the person and who wants to go on the adventure. I think people can live without going on a adventure because some people don't like going on long adventures and some people can go on adventures and don't come back. Also some people who go on adventures tend to know what places look like and what animals and plants are around, most of the time people go on adventures for scientific reasons.

Poe Story

My favorite Edgar Allan Poe story is "The Tell-Tale Heart" because the story itself was interesting. The way how it was read was as if I can imagine how the man watched this creepy looking old man sleep every day at midnight. I like how repetition was used multiple times to draw more attention to us as readers. The main reason I liked this story so much was because of how detailed the story was, as I read the movie it was like watching a movie which was a lot of fun reading this story.

Money

I think money can bring power and can buy safety but at the same time it can cause problems. Money can mostly be dangerous because when when you buy protection, the protection could usually be the ones harming you if you don't pay. It can buy power but if you lose all the money you'll also lose the power. If the community finds out that the person has power and money, this can be dangerous to the person's safety. If a competing company sees how successful you are, they would want to use you or harm you for money and the "protection" you'll buy will harm you more and leave you poor.

Anger

When I was young, I had major anger issues and it would be about the smallest things. The last time I got absolutely furious where it was to the point where I started hitting everything I could see because of a rumor that involved me and a friend. Another time was a year ago when I found out something about someone and I was so angry that I was punching walls and I needed therapy to calm down. I usually think that there's no need to have anger over something so little but sometimes I can't control myself.

Revenge

I think revenge is a powerful motivation because a person who wants to seek revenge wouldn't have a clear thought. All the person would focus on is getting the revenge on someone who did something to that person. I think a person gets a more powerful motivation depending on the problem or a threat. The fact of losing someone or something because of someone would give a powerful motivation.

Dilemma

The meaning of dilemma is a situation in which a difficult choice has to be made between two or more alternatives, esp. equally undesirable ones. I think I had a dilemma once when I had to either choose to go to school early to pick up a friend and get tired later on or get my full sleep and have the friend mad at me. Another time was when I was a child my mom and dad always asked me who I loved more and it would be hard to choose because if I say that I loved my mom more my dad would get hurt, if I say i loved my dad my mom would get hurt.
